A standout junior footballer, Duncan entered top-level football early by signing for East Perth Football Club in the WAFL at the age of sixteen years. Duncan was drafted by the Geelong Football Club with the 28th pick in the 2009 AFL draft after impressing as a versatile utility with elite skills for East Perth.
Duncan was a member of the 2011 premiership side in his second year and is now a valued member of the Geelong leadership group as they strive for success in the coming years. Duncan pledged his loyalty to the club at the end of 2019, signing until 2024 to become a cat for life.
Away from football Mitch a keen golfer but his true passion lies with his family, Demi his wife and their two beautiful children Scarlett and Oliver.
