Lachie grew up in Queensland and lives in Brisbane. He and his wife Jess have just recently welcomed their first child Harper.

Lachie was a late bloomer onto the domestic cricket scene forcing his way onto the Queensland Cricket list through weight of runs and skills with the gloves. He made his First Class debut in February 2018 aged 26. Away from the cricket field Lachie is a qualified teacher and enjoys casual relief teaching when he can.
