Jon is a left arm orthodox bowler from Victoria earning his baggy green in 2016
Jon was born and raised in Melbourne and attended Haileybury College.
Jon was a member of the Australian 2006 Under 19 World Cup squad and was also awarded a Victorian rookie contract. He made both his First Class debut and One Day debut in October 2008 and was upgraded to a Victorian full contract for the 2009/10 season. Jon’s consistent performances in First Class cricket for Victoria was a catalyst to him being picked on the 2016 Australian tour of Sri Lanka making his Test debut. in the 2016/17 Sheffield Shield summer Jon took 50 wickets including 7 in the first innings of the final to be awarded player of the match. He capped off the 2016/17 season winning the Bill Lawry medal as Victoria’s best Sheffield Shield cricketer of the summer. Jon was again selected for Australia in 2018 on the tour of the UAE against Pakistan playing in both Test matches.
Jon is a very keen golfer playing off scratch and if he isn’t playing cricket or golf, Jon has also started doing his building apprenticeship.
