Tla Talent Issy Wong Hero

Wong
Issy Wong is one of the brightest prospects in women’s cricket - a explosive batter and a blisteringly fast bowler.

With the ball she is tipped to be the first bowler to break the 80mph mark, and is also an explosive batter, opening the batting (and the bowling) for Central Sparks.

She performed strongly in the inaugural Hundred for Birmingham Phoenix that led to a stint in the WBBL for Sydney Thunder.

Alongside her on field exploits, Issy has a bit of x-factor about her, and has a bubbly, popular personality, and big interest in media, where she has done commentary including the first ever Hundred game on Sky Sports.

Issy’s family history is fascinating, in that her great-uncle was one of the youngest players to ever play cricket for Hong-Kong, and her great grandmother led a network of spies in Southern China during WWII for British intelligence.
