A Queensland native Dayne Zorko is a proven leader and has cemented himself as a cult figure within the resurgence of the ever improving Brisbane Lions side.
After waiting years for his chance on an AFL list, Zorko took no time to make his mark on the Lions, debuting early in 2012 and playing in the forward line where he became known for his freakish goals. Zorko played 16 games in his first season and from then on has played at least 20 games per season, showing his durability.
In 2015 Zorko won his first Merrett-Murray Medal as Brisbane’s Best and Fairest Player. He won this award for 4 consecutive years, while also claiming his first All-Australian selection in 2017. Zorko took over the captaincy of the club in 2018 and has played an integral role in the resurgence of the ever improving Brisbane Lions side.
Away from football, Zorko is a hands on father to Louis
