Callum is the ultimate team man that often stands up when his team needs him the most.
Callum grew up in prospect, South Australia and has spent his whole life in Adelaide. Callum and his wife Rhiannon have just recently had their first child Layla.
Callum made his List A debut for South Australia in 2003 as an 18 year old. This followed with selection in Australia’s 2004 Under 19 World Cup squad but unfortunately he missed the tournament through injury. He made his Frist Class debut in 2004 and finished his maiden season with 733 runs. He was brought into the Australian ODI squad at the start of 2009 and quickly established himself as a mainstay in the middle order, Callum unfortunately hurt his knee in the 2009 Champions Trophy final which lead to him being out of the game for a year. He came back into the Australian set up when he was recovered and was a member of the squad for the 2011 ICC World Cup, Callum’s ODI average is currently 41.43. In 2016 Callum was handed his Baggy Green making his debut for Australia and becoming an all 3 format international representative. Callum has since taken his game to play County Cricket in England and his debut in the Royal London One Day Cup yielded him 192 not out off 143 balls. Callum was the Sydney Thunder MVP in BBL8 and is their current captain.
Callum is a lover of all sports, he is know to enjoy going to Wimbledon when he is playing cricket in the UK, he is a big Essendon fan in the AFL and he loves getting out on the golf course. Another thing Callum is passionate about is his lawn at home making sure it looks perfect.
As captain you work collectively with your players and you think more about your teammates than when you’re a squad player.
